Set up SpecSheet Pro

Use this guide to generate your first product PDF and add the storefront download button.

Quick setup

  1. Open SpecSheet Pro in Shopify admin.
  2. Go to Settings and confirm the product fields, variant columns, metafields, colors, QR code, and template.
  3. Open Products, choose a product, and click Download PDF to generate and preview the first spec sheet.
  4. Open the theme editor from the product page and add the Download Spec Sheet app block to the product template.
  5. Open a storefront product page and click the button to confirm the PDF downloads correctly.

Field and metafield selection

SpecSheet Pro only includes the fields and metafields selected in Settings. If a metafield does not appear in the PDF, confirm it is selected and regenerate the product PDF.

Troubleshooting

  • If a PDF looks stale, regenerate it from the product page or refresh cached PDFs from Home.
  • If the storefront button is missing, confirm the theme app block was added to the active product template.
  • If a download fails, confirm the product still exists and the app is installed on the store.
